The Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) have continued to maintain operational pressure across the six geo-political zones, recording significant breakthroughs in ongoing operations between 3 and 14 November 2025.
In a statement by the Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Olatokunbo Bello, troops neutralized several terrorists, arrested criminal collaborators, and destroyed multiple illegal oil bunkering sites. A total of 45 collaborators, informants, sympathizers, and spies were apprehended, while one kidnapped victim was rescued during the operations.
Troops also uncovered and dismantled 23 crude oil cooking ovens, 14 dugout pits, 16 boats, 12 storage tanks, and 6 illegal refining sites. In addition, five suspected oil thieves and other criminal elements were arrested, alongside the recovery of assorted arms and ammunition.
Overall, the AFN seized a substantial cache of weapons, including automatic rifles, RPG tubes, machine guns, locally fabricated weapons, and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) materials. Numerous rounds of live cartridges and assorted ammunition were also recovered.
Major General Bello explained that the weekly brief highlights achievements recorded by Joint Task Forces in the North East (OPHK), North West (OPFY), North Central (OPEP & OPWS), South South (OPDS) and the South East (OPUK).
North East: Operation Hadin Kai Sustains Pressure on Terrorists
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) maintained intense pressure on Boko Haram, ISWAP, and JAS militants. Coordinated ground and air operations in Monguno, Gwoza, Bama, Ngazai, Damboa, Chibok, Biu (Borno) and Mubi South, Hong (Adamawa) resulted in the killing of several terrorists.
Troops also arrested 45 terrorist collaborators, rescued a kidnapped victim, and destroyed insurgent enclaves. Weapon recoveries included arms, ammunition, and operational vehicles.
North West: Operation FANSAN Yamma Records Major Gains
Between 3 and 13 November, troops of OPFY executed successful strikes in Sokoto, Zamfara, Niger, Katsina, Kebbi, and Kano States. Several terrorists were neutralized, 2 arrested, and 13 kidnapped victims rescued.
Recovered items included weapons, vehicles, livestock, and other items used to support terrorist activities.
North Central: Operation Enduring Peace Responds to Distress Calls
Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) conducted rapid-response missions in Plateau and Kaduna States, killing extremists, arresting 16 suspects, and rescuing 5 kidnapped victims.
A notorious suspect, Ibrahim Wakili, long on the watchlist, was arrested in Sanga LGA, Kaduna State, with arms recovered from his possession.
Operation Whirl Stroke Expands Offensive Drive
Troops under Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) conducted coordinated operations across Kogi, Kwara, Benue, Nasarawa, and Taraba States.
During the period, troops neutralized criminals, arrested 10 suspects, and rescued 48 kidnapped victims. Guns, ammunition, vehicles, and livestock were recovered.
Further operations in Wamba and Doma (Nasarawa) led to the arrest of two gunrunners and two collaborators, with arms recovered.
South South: Operation Delta Safe Foils Oil Theft Worth N15.89 Million
Troops of OPDS thwarted illegal oil activities valued at N15,893,579, seizing 12,600 litres of crude oil and 3,287 litres of AGO. Additionally, several illegal refining structures were destroyed, and five suspects arrested.
Operations in Ogbia, Southern Ijaw (Bayelsa), Sapele, and Aniocha North (Delta State) led to the arrest of four criminals.
South East: Operation UDO KA Maintains Offensive Stance
Troops of OPUK sustained operations in Imo, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River States, killing one terrorist and arresting seven criminal suspects.
The Defence Headquarters reaffirmed that the Armed Forces remain resolute in eliminating criminal elements and restoring peace across the country.
